No humans here, just the real stars of the show!

Max was welcomed into the Zyta’s Creatures team after his previous owner lost interest, but he quickly upgraded to a life of VIP treatment. 

He’s a creature of habit with a very strict routine: favourite hide only, and he rotates between two exact spots like he owns the place (because he does). Max lives for his crickets, his beauty sleep, and being admired. Don’t worry, Max, I’ll never lose interest in you.

Littlefoot came to us as a tiny baby after his previous owner could no longer look after him. He arrived missing a few toes on his back left foot and no name, so naturally he was re-christened Littlefoot. 

He’s a dramatic little diva who thinks every food item belongs to him, and he’ll happily plant himself front and centre until snacks appear. Whether he’s basking like royalty or begging like he’s never been fed in his life, Littlefoot is pure entertainment. 

Bramble joined us after his previous family had a difficult change in circumstances, and you can tell he was well loved. He’s calm, gentle and perfectly socialised. That said, he’s still a crestie, which means every surface is a climbing wall and every hand is a launch pad. If there’s a chance for parkour, Bramble is already mid-air. Quiet, sweet and surprisingly acrobatic, he’s our little sticky-footed ninja. 

Hex is a 'lesser' morph royal python - but there's nothing lesser about her! The name of her morph might suggest she's small-time, however Hex is anything but. 

Whether it’s a child holding a snake for the very first time or an adult conquering a lifelong fear, Hex takes it all in her stride. She truly is a wonderful animal ambassador, helping people see just how  misunderstood snakes really are.

Before joining us, Hex was part of a private breeding collection and was later rehomed. Now, instead of producing babies, she spends her time changing minds, inspiring curiosity, and showing everyone just how amazing snakes can be.

Hocus is one of the few animals here who wasn’t a rehome. I first met him while working in a reptile shop, where I spent weeks caring for him and quickly falling in love with his curious nature and incredible colours. When I brought him home on Halloween, his name was an easy choice.

As a Honduran milk snake, Hocus is always on the go. He’s confident, inquisitive, and loves to explore... especially sleeves and pockets! Rather than sitting still, he prefers to keep moving, which makes handling him a really fun and interactive experience.

Hocus is fantastic for people who enjoy a more hands-on encounter and love seeing an animal’s personality shine through. He’s also great to watch for anyone building confidence, as his constant exploring gives a brilliant insight into how curious and engaging snakes can be.

Bella is a Burmese python, one of the largest snake species. Big in size, bigger in personality, and proof that second chances matter.

Back in 2020, Bella was abandoned in a car park outside the reptile shop where Zyta was working at the time. He was in a really poor state and needed serious care. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the team, he made a full recovery. By the time he was healthy, Zyta had already fallen in love with him. So, despite the huge commitment that comes with a snake of his size, he came home. 

Bella is a true testament to how resilient and loving animals can be. Despite everything he went through, he has the most gorgeous, gentle personality. 

And yes… Bella is still called Bella! We originally thought he was female (hence the name), but once he was healthy and properly sexed, we realised we’d been mistaken. By then, the name had stuck. We think he suits it!

Victor is an ex-pet rehome who came to us originally named “Carnage”;  a name that couldn’t be further from his true personality! He is calm, kind-natured, and incredibly easy to handle, so it was important to give him a name that reflected who he really is (and one that wouldn’t scare the kids!).

Finding the right name took a long time. Nothing quite fit… until one very special event. Victor came along with me, still nameless, and there he met a man who had always wanted to hold a snake but never had the chance. I handed him Victor, and the experience meant so much to him that he told me it was the best day of his life. I asked the gentleman his name, Victor, and in that moment, the snake finally had his too.

As a Corn snake, Victor is a fantastic animal ambassador. He’s gentle, patient, and wonderfully tolerant, making him ideal for first-time handlers and those who might be a little nervous. He has a way of quietly winning people over and creating really special moments.

A unique name, a unique story, and an uniquely lovable snake: Victor truly lives up to his name.

 Billie is a dwarf Hermann’s tortoise with a surprisingly big presence. She came to me as a rehome, when her previous owner was no longer in a position to care for her.  

Naturally curious, Billie is always on a mission. Whether it’s inspecting your shoelaces, or investigating our latest booking, she approaches life with quiet determination. That said, subtlety is not her strength: she is a bulldozer. If there’s an obstacle in the way, she’s not going around it… she’s going straight through it.  

Billie is a brilliant example of how much personality reptiles can have: stubborn, inquisitive, and an unbothered Queen. 

 From masters of disguise to tiny ecosystem engineers, our invertebrates are some of the most fascinating creatures you’ll meet! This collection includes leaf and stick insects, giant African land snails, giant African millipedes and a variety of beetles and cockroaches.   

For those feeling a little braver, we also have tarantulas. Often misunderstood but calm and delicate animals that help challenge common fears and misconceptions.
